The
firm of Gilligan & Bubnowski, a partnership, was formed in July, 1976.
The
practice of the firm is primarily in retail shopping centers (including tenant
fit-ups), office and research buildings, and manufacturing / distribution
facilities. The secondary
involvement in recent past has been in planned residential development, public
work projects, and restaurant design (over 100 restaurant facilities to date).
The
services of the firm have always included Principal involvement through all
contracted phases of our work. The
firm has always retained professional consultants to assure not only specialty
application, but also current systems input.
Geographically, our projects are primarily located throughout the States
of New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Maryland, and Indiana.
Gilligan
& Bubnowski, as Project Architect, is pleased to announce the successful
completion of our latest major retail project, at Monmouth Mall, Eatontown, New
Jersey. The program provided for
the complete renovation of the common area of this 1,500,000 square foot Mall,
the demolition of 250,000 square feet of antiquated mall area, and the
construction of 250,000 square feet of new reconfigured Mall area to include a
700 seat food court, all new entrances, new common mall area, gross leaseable
area (GLA), and a 4700 seat, 15 screen, theatre.
Currently, we are involved in the expansion and renovation of the Queens
Center Mall, Elmhurst, Queens, New York City, which consists of approximately
550,000 square feet of expansion plus a new seven level parking structure.
Additional mall expansion and renovation work at Chesterfield Towne
Center in Richmond, Virginia along with extensive renovation and new
construction at Crossroads Mall, Boulder, Colorado are among our current
projects.
Additionally,
this office is pleased to further announce that our recently designed and
completed (January 1999) office –research laboratory facility for Tyco
Submarine Systems, Ltd. (formerly AT&T Submarine Systems), a 138,000 square
foot, two story facility in Eatontown, New Jersey, has been honored as “Office
Building of the Year” for all of New Jersey by the Building Owners and
Managers Association (BOMA). This
new recognition of this office’s work compliments our previous awards by the
New Jersey Business and Industry Association and New Jersey Business Magazine
for our 384,000 square foot office-research facility for Bell Communications
Research, Inc. (Bellcore) in Livingston, New Jersey.
